On Wednesday,April 1st, the Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance to Prevent Exposure to Second-Hand Smoke and the Revised Health Promotion Act became fully effective. As a result, smoking outside designated areas are now prohibited. In principle, restaurants, recreational and sports facilities, corporate offices and hotel spaces outside individual guest rooms will be non-smoking. If there is a smoking room, there will be a sign at the entrance of the restaurants and facilities. Violation of this regulation may result in penalties. If you are a smoker, please smoke in designated smoking areas and be considerate of others around you. At restaurants, smoking is only allowed in dedicated smoking rooms. People under twenty years old, including customers and employees are not allowed to enter the smoking rooms.

東京都では、4月1日（水）から、「東京都受動喫煙防止条例」と「改正健康増進法」が全面施行となりました。

これにより、決められた場所以外で、たばこは吸えなくなりました。

飲食店、娯楽施設、体育施設、会社等の事務所、客室を除くホテルや旅館等の屋内は、原則禁煙となります。

飲食店や喫煙設備のある施設等の入り口には、その施設における喫煙可否の状況が分かる標識が掲示されます。

規定に違反した場合、罰則を科せられる場合があります。

喫煙する場合は、喫煙できる場所においても、周囲の方に配慮して下さい。

飲食店でたばこを吸うことができるのは、喫煙室のみで、利用者・従業員を含め、20才未満の方は、喫煙室への立入は禁止です。

・Crowds of people

・Verbal communication at close range

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government urges young people to refrain from going to karaoke and live music clubs, and for older people, to refrain from going to bars, night clubs, and other night spots involving direct customer service. Please also refrain from all non-essential, non-urgent outings on weekends.

・多くの人の密集する場所

・近距離での密接した会話

以上、3つの条件が重なる場を避けるための行動をお願いしています。

特に若い方には、カラオケやライブハウス、中高年の方には、バーやナイトクラブなど接待を伴う飲食店などに行くことは、お控えいただくようお願いします。
