This week's edition is on 'Photo Yokohama 2021’.
The theme of 'Photo Yokohama 2021', the city’s photo month, is “Taking, Seeing, and Enjoying”. It will be taking place until the end of March.
During this period, an array of photograph and image related events will be held throughout the city, as well as online, to energize Yokohama, one of the birthplaces of commercial photography.
Infection prevention measures at the events are being implemented appropriately in accordance with the relevant guidelines.
Here are some upcoming events...
“CP+”, the largest general camera imaging show in Asia, will be held online for the first time, from Thursday 25th - Sunday 28th February.
This “CP+ 2021 ONLINE” will be packed full of events that can be enjoyed by all camera fans, such as new product exhibitions by participating makers and talk shows.
There are many photography related events from March too.
From Monday 15th - Sunday 21st March, a "[Special Exhibition] Traveling Netsuke: HIH Princess Takamado’s Photo Exhibition and Contemporary Netsuke Collection" will be held in Kakushokaku, a Yokohama City designated tangible cultural property in Sankeien.
The "Japan Newspaper Museum" is also holding a special exhibition: the "2020 Press Photo Exhibition", which looks back on the year through news photographs.
It will run until Sunday 18th April.
