Yokohama City has sequentially sent out the application forms for the “Special Cash Payment”,  which provides each person with 100,000 yen.

If you have not received them by 13th June, please call the Yokohama Special Cash Payment Call Center on or after 15th June.

Foreign nationals who are eligible for the payment are those who were listed on the Basic Resident Register as of 27th April this year.

Take care not to make mistakes when filling out information such as your account details. You should tick the box next to your name only if the special cash payment is ‘unnecessary’. If you wish to receive the payment, make sure you do not tick the box.

When submitting the application, please check that you have not left out any information or forgotten any necessary attachments. The application must be submitted by post.

Bank transfers for postal applications will start in early June. It is expected that initially, there will be a concentration of applications, so it may take time for you to receive your payment.
