This week's edition is on Garden Necklace Yokohama 2025.

“Garden Necklace Yokohama 2025" is an event set in the city of Yokohama that connects beautiful flowers and greenery like a necklace.

With the International Horticultural Expo 2027,Yokohama, Japan  "GREEN×EXPO 2027" coming up in two years, various projects are being prepared so that a wider range of people can experience the charm of flowers and greenery.

[Event Period] Wednesday 19th March - Sunday 15th June 

Satoyama Garden: Wednesday 19th March - Tuesday 6th May

[Venues] Minato area (waterfront area including Yamashita Park), Satoyama Garden, Yokohama City’s 18 wards

Along with the scenery of the port that symbolizes Yokohama, you can enjoy the changing seasons of the flowers, with tulips from early April, and roses from early May.

In Satoyama Garden, the 10,000 square meter flowerbed - one of the largest in the city - welcomes visitors with beautiful flowers such as nemophilas, under the theme ‘Harukaze no Oka (Spring Breeze Hill)’.

Also, from 3rd May, ‘Yokohama Rose Week’ will begin, with events and sweets themed around the city flower, the rose, so that visitors can enjoy roses along with the scenery of Yokohama.

Following on from last year, one of Japan’s largest gardening events, “Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2025” will also be held, from 3rd-5th May. Staff have prepared an array of contents, including show garden exhibits, workshops for parents and children to enjoy together and on-stage talk events with guests.
