Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

The Omicron variant continues to spread.

If you have symptoms similar to those of a cold and want to get examined at a medical facility, please consult your family doctor first. 

If you do not have a family doctor, please contact the following call centers with a Japanese speaker:

For infection related characteristics and preventative measures, or if you show symptoms: Yokohama City Covid-19 Call Center 045-550-5530,

For people who suspect they are infected with Covid-19:

     Covid-19 Returnees/Contacts Advice Center 045-550-5530.

If you can’t get through to the call centers, the “list of medical facilities that conduct examinations of patients with a fever” is on the Kanagawa Prefecture homepage. Please check the precautions before calling your local medical institution.　

In light of the spread of the Omicron variant, Yokohama City is conducting free PCR tests. Those who would like a test should contact the following call center.

Calls will be answered between 9am and 6pm, except on Sundays and national holidays.

People at low risk of severe symptoms who test positive through a free test or an antigen test kit, can choose to "recuperate independently" so that they can start their recuperation without waiting for a diagnosis from a medical institution.
