The “Yokohama Foreign Residents Information Center” provides general information and consultations to foreign city residents.

This includes information on daily life, living consultation in a variety of fields, and consultation related to community activities such as international exchanges, volunteer activities, and support for foreign residents. The information and consultations are available in several languages.

The center is located inside the Yokohama Association for International Communications and Exchanges (YOKE), on 5th floor of the Yokohama International Organization Center in Minatomirai’s Pacifico Yokohama.

Opening Hours

Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm, (registration until 4:30pm)

2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month: 10am - 1pm (registration until 12:30pm)

*Closed on Sundays, national holidays, and from 29th December-3rd January

Available Languages:

Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepalese, Indonesian, Tagalog, Thai, Portuguese, and Spanish.

*For telephone consultations on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, available languages are limited to Japanese, English, Chinese, and Spanish.

Specialist Consultations

Specialist consultations are provided free of charge, and an interpreter is available.

○ Consultation on residency and immigration procedures (Appointment required)

1st Thursday of the month, 1pm - 4pm (45 mins per case)

○ Consultation on children's education (Appointments prioritized)

(Day and Time):

2nd and 4th Saturdays of month, 10am - 12:30pm
