Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
26th January 2022
Advance reservation is required for vaccination.
You can apply for a slot as soon as you receive your vaccination ticket, and you will be able to make a reservation up to 4 weeks in advance.
In addition to individual vaccinations performed at approximately 1,900 medical institutions in the city, from mid-February, 13 group vaccination sites will be opened in order to provide the shots.
Medical institutions will mainly offer the Pfizer vaccine, while all group vaccination sites will use the Moderna vaccine.
For the third jab, you can be vaccinated using a different vaccine to your first and second.
The number of medical institutions for which the city accepts reservations has increased to about 880.
A website that allows users to search for reservation availability will be launched in early February.
Booking through the city’s dedicated reservation website or the city’s official LINE account is a smooth process.
For vaccination related enquiries, please call the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center’.
Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The telephone number is 0120-045-070.
Calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm every day.
