In Japan, when the new year starts, a "New Year's Performance" is carried out by fire service related personnel.

In Yokohama City too, the Yokohama City Fire Department's New Year's Performance 2020 will be held in the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse area, to make citizens feel safe and secure.

As well as traditional Japanese firefighting performances such as ladder climbing and impressive training drills, there will be an array of participatory events including water spraying.

The program will be as follows:

In addition to this, there will be corners where visitors can take part in valuable experiences such as 119 call simulations, earthquake simulations, and smoke simulations.

The date and time of the Yokohama City Fire Department's New Year's Performance 2020 will be 12th January (Sun), 10:30am - 3:00pm (The performance will take place as planned in the event of light rain)

The venues will be the Events Square at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1, Red Brick Park, and Zo-no-hana Park.
