The “Yokohama Foreign Residents Information Center” provides general information and consultations to foreign city residents.

To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, please contact the center by phone, email, FAX or LINE where possible. 

If you are visiting the center, please do the following:

Keep the consultation to under 30minutes, visit with as few people as possible, wear a mask, take your temperature and make sure it is normal before you visit, and disinfect your hands using the sanitizer provided by the center.

If any of the following applies to you, please do not visit the center:

You have a fever, you have symptoms such as breathlessness or a strong feeling of listlessness, you have other reasons to think you may be infected.

•    Opening Hours

Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm, (registration until 4:30pm)

2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month: 10am - 1pm (registration until 12:30pm)

•    Available Languages:

Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepalese, Indonesian, Tagalog, Thai, Portuguese, and Spanish.

*For telephone consultations on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, available languages are limited to Japanese, English, Chinese, and Spanish.

•    Specialist Consultations

Specialist consultations are provided free of charge, and an interpreter is available.

Please consult by telephone first.

 ○ Consultation on residency and immigration procedures (Appointment required)

(Day and Time): 1st Thursday of the month, 1pm - 4pm (45 mins per case)

 ○ Consultation on children's education (Appointments prioritized)

(Day and Time): 2nd and 4th Saturdays of month, 10am - 12:30pm

 ○ Legal Consultations (Appointment required)

(Day and Time): Thursday 19th November, 1pm - 4:30pm (50 mins per case)
