Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
23rd October 2024
This week’s edition is on routine Covid19 vaccinations.
The routine vaccinations started on 1st October.
They are available to people aged 65 or older, and people aged 60-64 with certain disabilities, at a cost, in principle, of 3,000 yen out-of-pocket.
The decision to vaccinate or not vaccinate is a personal one.
Please consult your family doctor or other healthcare provider to understand the effects and side effects of the vaccine, when considering vaccination.
The vaccination period is until 31st January, so if you are eligible, please consider getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
Vaccinations will be administered at cooperating medical institutions in the city.
Unlike the previous COVID-19 vaccinations, Yokohama City will not send out vaccination vouchers.
Reception and reservation procedures differ depending on the medical institution, so please be sure to check with the medical institution in advance.
