Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

This week’s edition is on the ‘¥100,000 emergency benefit’.

¥100,000 will be provided to support low income households, which are particularly affected by rising prices.

Eligible households are those that as of 3rd June 2024, were registered as resident in Yokohama City, and were newly made "exempt" or "taxable only on a per capita basis" for resident tax in fiscal 2024.

In order to receive the benefit, application is required.

If you have received an orange envelope regarding the benefit, please check the contents and complete the application.

If you fulfill the eligibility criteria but have not received the envelope, please visit the ward office’s application support desk, or contact the call center to get the application forms.

Calls will be answered from 9am to 7pm, except on weekends and national holidays.

The call center handles enquiries in English, Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepalese, Spanish and Tagalog.

Applications will only be accepted by post, and they must arrive by the deadline of 25th October 2024.
