Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

This week's edition is on ‘Yokohama Zoos at Night 2024’.

‘Yokohama Zoos at Night 2024’ is being held at Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia, Nogeyama Zoo and Kanazawa Zoo, every Saturday and Sunday in August, as well as on the holiday on 12th. On these days, opening hours will be extended to 8pm at Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia, and to 8:30pm at Nogeyama Zoo and Kanazawa Zoo.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a different side to both the animals and the zoos’ atmospheres in the evenings, as the sun gradually sets and the harsh heat of summer recedes.

At Zoorasia, in addition to guided tours of the animals by zookeepers, visitors can enjoy a variety of workshops and  gourmet foods themed around the “25th anniversary of the zoo’s opening” at ‘Zoorasia Night Festa’

At Nogeyama Zoo, visitors can see a panel exhibition currently underway of works by “leaf cutout artist” Lito at various locations in the zoo. Zookeepers also offer guided animal tours. Admission to the zoo is free at night too.
