This week’s edition is on the WEB version pre-release of ‘Pamatoco’, a childrearing support app.

‘Pamatoco’ is the nation's first application that consolidates a variety of information and functions related to child-rearing, and is available in 121 languages.

We will introduce three major features here.

The first is online applications.

You will be able to complete procedures on your smartphone without going to the ward office. This will reduce the time spent going back and forth to the ward office, waiting, and filling out forms etc.

The second feature is the event recommendation function.

This provides you with information on events that are perfect for you.

Event information based on your area of residence, the age of your children, and your interests will be displayed on the home screen. There is also a function to display it on a calendar.

The third feature is the facility search function.

This allows you to search for various facilities related to childcare. Not only can you narrow your search by area, such as your home or current location, but you can also narrow your search by facility type.  For example, if you suddenly need to go to the toilet or change a nappy while you are out, you can use this app to quickly find a facility nearby.

The city is also considering expanding other useful functions for families raising children, and plans to release a smartphone app version this autumn.
