This week's edition is on 'Yokohama France Month 2024'.


'Yokohama France Month' is a festival celebrating French culture and gastronomy that has been held every year since 2005. This year, it will take place from 7th - 30th June.

During the festival period, a variety of events that can be enjoyed by children  and adults alike will be held in the city's art galleries, art spaces and restaurants etc. The events will include photo exhibitions, lecture sessions, and music and dance events.


From 7th-16th June, three exhibitions will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1: a photo exhibition by AUDIC-RIZK related to the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, called ‘The Magic of Sports’;  an exhibition of award-winning entries from a photo competition held by the Science and Technology Department of the Embassy of France in Japan; and an exhibition of works by Gérald Vatrin, who uses materials such as glass and bamboo to express the dialogue between the Japanese and French cultures.


On 29th June, Zou-no-hana Terrace will host a performance of Gwoka: traditional Guadeloupean dance and music that is also a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Enjoy the live dance and music performances by two artists from Guadeloupe.


Admission is free for all of the events that have been introduced.

A variety of other events are also planned, including special menus at the city's restaurants and related events at art museums.
