This week’s edition is on public information in easy Japanese.

Pointing Sheet

A ‘pointing sheet’ has been created to make it easier for foreigners and other visitors to the city office to tell  staff at the general information counter what they need.

The sheet describes the work of the city office in easy Japanese, English, Chinese (simplified), Korean and illustrations.

Video creation

The video contains the message that the city wants as many people as possible to know about "easy Japanese" and to use it.  Players from Yokohama FC appear in the video.

It is available on Yokohama City’s official YouTube channel.

＜Multilingual pages/Koho Yokohama＞

Yokohama City provides information in multiple languages on its website. These include “easy Japanese”, English, Chinese (simplified) and Korean. 

As well as this, in the city’s newsletter, “Koho Yokohama”, the main articles are rewritten in “easy Japanese”, and “Catalog Pocket”, the newsletter viewing app, allows you to read it in 9 languages (English, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese).
