This week's edition is on Garden Necklace Yokohama 2024.

“Garden Necklace Yokohama 2024" is an event set in the city of Yokohama that connects beautiful flowers and greenery like a necklace. 

With the International Horticultural Expo 2027,Yokohama, Japan  "GREEN×EXPO 2027" coming up in three years, various projects are being prepared so that a wider range of people can experience the charm of flowers and greenery.

Minato area (city centre waterfront area), Satoyama Garden, Yokohama City’s 18 wards

Along with the scenery of the port that symbolizes Yokohama, you can enjoy the changing seasons of flowers like a relay, with tulips from early April, and roses from early May.

As well as this, from 3rd May, “Yokohama Rose Week”, a city walk event, will be held. The rose is the city flower, and during the “Rose City Walk” period, visitors can enjoy rose-themed events and sweets.

This year, one of Japan’s largest gardening events, “Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2024” will be held (3rd-6th May).

Staff have prepared an array of contents that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, including show garden exhibits, hands-on workshops for parents and children to enjoy together while getting acquainted with flowers and greenery, stages, and shops.
