This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.

The period during which vaccinations are provided free of charge through special temporary vaccination will end on 31st March.

Depending on the medical institution, it may be crowded towards the end of the free vaccination period.

If you would like to get vaccinated, please do so as soon as possible.

Reservations for COVID-19 vaccinations can be made online or by calling the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Reservation Call Center’.

Calls will be answered between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

The call center’s final day of operation will be Friday 29th March.

In fiscal 2024, regular vaccinations aimed at preventing the development of severe symptoms are scheduled to be take place in autumn and winter.

These regular vaccinations are only available for people aged 65 and over and those aged 60 to 64 who have a certain disabilities.

Unlike before, there will be a vaccination fee, but Yokohama City will subsidize part or all of it.

If you would like to be vaccinated but are not eligible for the regular vaccinations, you will be able to receive a vaccination, regardless of the time of the year, from April onwards.

Please note, however, that you will be responsible for the full cost of the vaccination.
