Minato City libraries will hold fun events for children, so why not take this opportunity to visit a library.

The Children’s Summer Club events are as follows:

7th July, 1:30pm: Takanawa Library 'Whales used to Live on Land'

14th July, 10:30am: Takanawa Library Annex ‘Summer Origami - Dinosaur edition’

14th July, 2pm: Azabu Library ‘Seminar, Sea Turtle Class’

23rd July, 9:15am and 1:30pm: Minato Library ‘Be a Librarian for the Day’,

27th July, 10:30am and 1:30pm: Azabu Library ‘Story Marathon’

The section in charge at Minato City Hall is the Library and Cultural Assets Section.

This year too, school swimming pools will be open to the public over the summer holidays. Participating Minato municipal elementary schools will open up their pools on designated days to elementary and junior high school students who live in Minato City and their parents. Use of the pools is free.

Pools are open to the public throughout the year at Onarimon, Takamatsu, Koryo and Koyo junior high schools. Pools at Konan, Honmura, and Akasaka elementary schools will also be open to the public.

Opening times may change due to school events, so please check beforehand.

The pool charge for 2 hours is 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary, junior high, and high school students. Admission is free for children under school age, people with disabilities, and Minato city residents aged 65 or over.

A registration card is required to use the pools. If you don’t have one, you can be issued with one at the pool reception, so please bring ID that shows you live or work in Minato city.

The pools at Aquafield Shiba Park will also be open to the public. The pool charge for 2 hours is 600 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students, so please use these pools too.
