Minato Voice
2020/02/10

“Book Start” is conducted at Minato City Libraries.  It is a program aimed at parents/guardians of babies up to 12 months old. The program introduces the fun and importance of parents reading books with their children.

Minato City libraries provide simple, 15 minute individual explanations of the program as well as a picture book. Please visit your local library on Book Start meeting days, and bring your Child-rearing Handbook with you.

For Book Start dates, see the Minato City newsletter “Koho Minato”, Minato Monthly, or the Minato City website.

For Enquiries, contact Minato Call on 03-5472-3710.

Minato City makes school indoor swimming pools available for use throughout the year by those who live or work in the city.

To find out which school pools are open and their available dates and times, please check the February edition of Minato Monthly or the Minato City website. You can also see a scheduled opening hours list at all public facilities.

The pool charge for 2 hours is 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary, junior high and high school students. Minato City residents can use the pools for free on the first and third Sundays of each month.

For people of high school age and above, a registration card is required to use the pools. The card can be issued at the pool reception so please bring ID that proves you live or work in Minato city.
