Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
30th March 2022
This week’s edition is on Covid-19 vaccinations.
Vaccinations are underway for children aged 5-11 years old.
Vaccination tickets were sent out all at once to those eligible on 4th March, and reservations for vaccinations started being accepted from 7th March.
When deciding whether to vaccinate a child, parents/guardians should understand both the preventive benefits and the risk of side effects.
It is up to the parents/guardians to make the final decision, after consulting the child.
If you have any concerns or doubts about vaccination, please consult your child’s family doctor first.
The city has established a children’s vaccination dedicated call center, so that people who do not have a family doctor can still speak to a doctor beforehand.
Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The telephone number is the same as the Covid-19 Vaccine Call Center for adults: 0120-045-070
Please follow the guidance and select ‘No.2 Children’s vaccinations’.
Calls will be answered between 9am and 6pm every day, except on weekends and national holidays, when the call center is closed.
