This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.

There are concerns that COVID-19 and influenza will spread simultaneously this winter, so please be careful.  The basic infection control measures are the same for both viruses, and include thorough hand-washing and ventilation. Let's all take precautions to prevent infection.  When visiting a medical institution due to symptoms such as a fever, make sure you contact the facility beforehand and wear a mask.

Also, please consider getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza before a full-scale outbreak occurs.

Reservations for COVID-19 vaccinations can be made online or by calling the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Reservation Call Center’.

Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese. 

The telephone number is 0120-045-112 and the Center is open from 9am-7pm every day. From November, the opening hours will change to Monday to Saturday, from 9am-5pm.

For enquiries about influenza vaccination, please call the ‘Yokohama Vaccine Call Center’. Calls will be handled in six languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Nepali.

The telephone number is 045-330-8561. Calls will be answered between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. However, the call center only deals with enquiries about vaccinations. To book an influenza vaccination, please contact the relevant medical institution directly.
