This week's edition is on the 'Yokohama Asahi Jazz Festival'.
'Yokohama Asahi Jazz Festival' is one of Yokohama’s largest outdoor festivals, and this year, it will be in its 32nd year. It will be held in an park rich in nature, where you can enjoy a full day eating, drinking, and listening to jazz.
On stage, five amateur bands that have won open auditions will perform at a high level.
On the professional stage will be Kei-chan, a popular freestyle pianist on YouTube.
The second performance will be by the quartet "Mitsukuni Tanabe Quartet with Eri Yazaki, special guest TOKU", led by leading Japanese jazz guitarist Mitsukuni Tanabe.
Third up will be 'Amimikusenri', a leader in the Japanese jazz fusion scene.
The final group will be Machiko Watanabe with Kamome Flyers. Please enjoy their outstanding singing.
Venue: Children's Nature Park baseball ground, a 15 minute walk from the Sotetsu Line's Futamata-gawa Station
Date: Sunday 27th August. Performances are due to start at 11:40am and end at 8:30pm
Tickets:
Advance tickets: ¥4,000. On sale at Sotetsu Line kiosks etc.
Day-of-performance tickets: ¥5,000
Students: ¥2,000, upon presentation of a student ID card on the day
Junior high school students and below are free if accompanied by a guardian.
