Yokohama - a city that developed in conjunction with its port, which opened up to the world. Why not get to know the historical Yokohama Port better.
Yokohama Sparkling Twilight 2019 will be held over two days; Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July, just before Marine Day.
The event will include a parade, stage shows, events on the water, gourmet events, and fireworks. A fun-packed lineup that can be enjoyed by anyone!
In the marine accident rescue demonstration from 1pm, the Yokohama Maritime Safety Agency and the Yokohama City Fire Department will show off the results of their daily training!
There is plenty to see, such as fireboat water spraying and helicopter rescue activities.
From 2pm, the ship parade will be held, where you’ll get to see ships that you don’t often see, up close. Performances unique to the port city of Yokohama will take place.
And from 7:30pm, 3000 fireworks will be launched at the sound of the whistle of the Hikawamaru, moored at Yokohama Port. Spectators will be able to enjoy differing displays over the two days, featuring traditional large wheel fireworks as well as creative fireworks in a variety of designs.
