This week's edition is on 'Yokohama France Month 2023'.
'Yokohama France Month' is a festival celebrating French culture and gastronomy that has been held every year since 2005. This year, it is taking place until 15th July.
During the festival period, a variety of events that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, are being held in the city's art galleries, art spaces and restaurants etc. The events include movies, photo exhibitions, and music and gourmet events.
A huge AR mural by French artist Guillaumit is being exhibited at Zou-no-hana Terrace until 27th June.
By holding a tablet or smartphone over the AR mural, visitors can see the story of the ecosystem built up by animals, insects, living organisms, and microorganisms. Admission is free.
On 10th June, a fee-based children's workshop will also take place.
From 5th to 9th July, the winning entries in the photo contest held by the Science and Technology Department of the Embassy of France in Japan will be on display at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1.
Please enjoy the mystical and artistic photos, which cover all kinds of fields in Japanese-French science and technology cooperation, including humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, and experimental sciences.
Admission is free.
A variety of other events are also planned, including special menus at the city's restaurants and related events at art museums.
