『SONIC RADIO』は、「SUMMER SONIC」などを主催する日本屈指のプロモーター、クリエイティブマンとInterFM897がタッグを組んで最新の音楽や来日公演のインフォメーションなどをお送りする1時間番組。

10/28（月）は、来日公演が決定しているArcade Fireのマルチ・インストゥルメンタリスト、RICHARD REED PARRYにフォーカスしました。本人からのコメントが届いたのですが、、音声ではなく文章で届いたので、少しご紹介致します。

Arcade Fireは、作品毎にコンセプトとメッセージを掲げ、その音世界を常に進化発展させ続けているカナダの6人組バンド。その、マルチ・インストゥルメンタリスト、RICHARD REED PARRYの来日公演が11/26（火）渋谷 WWW-X、11/27（水）梅田 Shangri-Laで決定しています。

【日本から受けた影響】

"EVERYTHING!!! I love the cities, I love the natural environment and the small towns and countryside, I love the food, I love the atmosphere, the trains... My first real visit to Japan I went to Tokyo and Osaka with Arcade Fire, then to Koya-San and Kinosaki on my own. 

Koya-San is one of my favorite places I've ever been, the deepest quiet I've ever heard. This place - the feeling, the sound, the environment - had a profound effect on me and is how/why I began writing the Quiet River of Dust songs."

全て！！街も自然も田舎も食べ物も電車も好き。初めて日本に来た時に、高野山と城崎に一人で行った。高野山が大好きで、あんな深い静けさを聴いたことがないと表現。そこで、Quiet River of Dustを書き始めたそう。

今回の来日では、「RICHARD REED PARRY's QUIET RIVER」と題して、来日ライブを披露してくれるのですが、どんな内容になるのか聞いてみました。
