From July 2023, Shinagawa City started providing a subsidy to senior citizens whose hearing function has declined due to age. The subsidy covers up to ¥35000 of the cost of purchasing hearing aids.

The subsidies for the purchase of hearing aids are available to Shinagawa City residents aged 65 and over who are exempt from resident tax and who have moderate hearing loss.

Please note that hearing aids purchased before the subsidy decision are not eligible for funding.

Applications are being accepted as needed at counters of the Senior Citizens’ Community Support Section at Shinagawa City Office and through the post.

品川区では、令和5年7月から、加齢により聴力機能が低下した高齢者に対し、 補聴器の購入に要する費用、上限35,000円の助成を開始しました。

品川区内に住所を有する満65歳以上の住民税非課税の方で、中等度難聴などの方を対象に、補聴器の購入費を助成しています。

詳細は、品川区ホームページや、各在宅介護支援センター、各地域センターなどで配布している事業案内をご覧ください。

助成の決定前に購入した補聴器は、助成の対象外になりますので、ご注意ください。

お申し込みは、品川区役所・高齢者地域支援課の窓口、および、郵送にて随時、受付しています。
