This week’s edition is on the Appearance Care Subsidy Program.

To support people undergoing treatment for cancer, Shinagawa City provides a subsidy to cover part of the actual costs incurred in purchasing or renting wigs and breast prostheses.

People who meet all of the following conditions are eligible for assistance.

 -Those who are registered as residents of Shinagawa City at the time of application,

 -Those who made purchases etc after 1st April 2023,

 -Those who have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently undergoing treatment, or who need wigs or breast prostheses due to hair loss or mastectomies associated with cancer treatment,

 -Those who are not eligible for other subsidy programs.

The subsidy is available once per person, and the subsidy amount is up to 30,000 yen including consumption tax.

The city started accepting applications on Monday 3rd July.

がんの治療中の方などの支援として、ウィッグや胸部補正具の購入・レンタルなどにかかった実費の一部を、助成しています。

助成の対象は、次の全てにあてはまる方です。

・申請時、品川区に住民登録がある方

・令和5年4月1日以降に購入などをした方

・がんと診断され、現在治療中、または、がんの治療に伴う脱毛や乳房の切除などにより、ウィッグや胸部補正具を必要とする方

・他の助成制度等の対象となっていない方です。

助成は、一人につき1回まで可能です。

助成額は、消費税を含む上限30,000円までです。

7月3日(月曜日)より、申請の受け付けを開始しています。
