Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

This week’s edition is on the ‘¥30,000 emergency support benefit’.

¥30,000 will be provided to resident tax-exempt households, which are particularly impacted by the increased financial burden resulting from the soaring prices of electricity, gas, and food etc.

Eligible households are those that are registered as resident in Yokohama City as of 1st June 2023, and whose members are all exempt from the fiscal 2023 per capita resident tax. However, households consisting solely of dependents of taxable persons are not eligible.

In order to receive the benefit, application is required. If you have received a blue envelope regarding the benefit, please check the contents and complete the application.

If you have not received the envelope, please visit the ward office’s application support counter, or contact the call center to get the application forms.

Calls will be answered from 9am to 7pm, except on weekends and national holidays.

The call center handles enquiries in English, Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepalese, Spanish and Tagalog.

Applications will only be accepted if they are sent by post, and they must arrive on or before the deadline of 18th October 2023.
